Membership is made up of individuals who are current Registered Diving Coaches in good standing with Diving Canada.
A total of four (4) representatives will be elected to four (4) year terms by the CDCA membership at their AGM that will be held at the Junior Championships. These four (4) individuals will form the voting Executive of the CDCA:

The Executive will self-appoint the positions on the Executive.
President:
Leads Diving Canada into becoming one unit, one team, geared towards the development of excellence for all its membership and with one goal in mind – to become and be recognized as the world leader in diving.
The CDCA currently enjoys and benefits to a degree from the membership of Diving Canada and it’s member groups, but a more active role is required with these and other external organizations (i.e. Coaching Association of Canada).
As the CDCA increases its reach, it must ensure that its representation objectives are clear, that regular communication exists between its Association members and the respective representative organizations it seeks support.
A clear slate of CDCA objectives must be understood before external representation can be accomplished.
To ensure that an effective and efficient communications network exists among Canadian Diving coaches and within the Diving Canada community.
Duties of the President:
- Chairperson of the CDCA;
- Develop communications strategy;
- Prepare the agenda for meetings, in conjunction with the Sport Development Manager;
- Responsible for all follow-up on the affairs of the committee;
- Represent membership on the Diving Canada Technical Committee;
- Represent membership at the Diving Canada AGM;
- Report to the executive and membership following meetings;
- Organize meetings for the CDCA;
- Communicate with the Diving Canada Board of Directors, Diving Canada staff, coaches, athletes and officials;
- Represent coach’s concerns and views;
- Set yearly budget.
Time Commitment: 250 hours/yr (approximately 5 hours per week)

Director of Coaching Development:
Development of tools needed to develop and support Coaches who are capable of developing the sport of Diving and its athletes with the skills to successfully and consistently compete at a recreational and competitive level.
Duties of the Director of Coaching Development:
- Report to President on the activities of the Certification Committee;
- Coaching Development Strategy;
- Maintain a tracking system of the individual courses and growth of our coaches;
- Work with CAC;
- Works closely with National Team Head Coach;
- Coaching development at international and national meets;
- Team manager development.
Time Commitment: 400 hrs/yr (approximately 8 hours per week)

Director of Club Development:
Through the provision of programs, tools and services, the CDCA with all other agents supports the development and supports the management of Canadian diving clubs across Canada.
Duties of the Director of Club Development:
- Club development strategy;
- Annual review of Guidelines for Parent-Coaches Relationships;
- Research and promote successful club structures from other countries;
- Develop and organize rating/reward system for successful clubs
Time Commitment: 375 hrs/yr (approximately 7.75 hours per week)

Director of Rules & Events:
Publish, maintain & develop rules and events pertaining to all national programs.
Duties of the Director of Rules & Events:
- Acts as chair of Rules Committee;
- Appoints Rules Committee members;
- Rule book publication;
- Acts as advisor to technical rule committee;
- Policy development;
- Responsible for appeals;
Time Commitment: 405hrs/yr

Duties of Board Liaison:
- Representation and support to CDCA and Diving Canada;
- Liaise back to the Diving Canada Board on behalf of the CDCA;
- Support to CDCA Executive.
Duties of Sport Development Manager:
- Support to CDCA Executive (including support into meetings and follow-up after meetings).
Duties of Director of Sport:
- Committee resource with regards to technical development (athlete/coach)
- CDCA Executive.
- CDCA President will serve as the representative on this committee and report back to the CDCA;
- Director of Rules & Events will be ex-official to Technical Committee;
- Should it be impossible for the President to attend such a meeting, a Director shall be appointed by the President.
- A meeting schedule will be published annually following the CDCA AGM, which is held at Junior National Championships.
- General Membership
- Quorum for the CDCA membership shall be 15% in person or proxy* who are currently Registered Diving Coaches in good standing with Diving Canada .
- * An individual may carry proxies from his/her own club plus proxies of three other individuals.
- CDCA Executive
- Quorum of the CDCA Executive shall be three (3) out of four (4).
- General Membership
- Decisions shall be made by majority vote.
- CDCA Executive
- Decisions shall be made by majority vote of all Executive Members.
- The President shall vote to break a tie.
- Diving Canada is responsible for funding the CDCA Executive annually for the following meetings:
- to attend the Diving Canada AGM;
- Conference calls.
- CDCA will submit an annual report to Diving Canada.
- Members of the CDCA Executive Committee can be removed from their position by one (1) of two (2) ways
- Coach representative elections;
- Executive impeachment - A Coach representative would be impeachable through the actions of the Executive, via a vote of no confidence; at least two out of three representatives must support the motion.
- Should a member of the Executive not complete their term of office, the CDCA Executive Committee will appoint his/her interim replacement for the duration of the term. The position shall then be open in the next election.
