A. ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Membership is made up of individuals who are registered members of Diving Canada.

B. COACHES CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE

A total of four (4) members will represent the Coach Development Committee. The elected position of Director of Coaching Development on the CDCA will be the Chair of the committee. The Chair will appoint the three (3) remaining positions. The Chair will take into account the following when appointing his/her members:

  • regional representation
  • at least one (1) bilingual member

The Chair’s term of office will be for four (4) years, whereas the remaining members will be appointed annually.

Duties of the Chair:

  1. Appoints Coach Development Committee members;
  2. Reports to CDCA;
  3. Develops ongoing strategy for coach development program initiative.

C. MEETINGS

  1. The Coach Development Committee will meet by conference call and face-to-face meetings when necessary.

D. QUORUM

  1. Quorum for the Coach Development Committee shall be three (3) out of four (4) members.

E. VOTE

  1. Decisions shall be made by majority vote

F. BUDGET REQUIREMENTS

  1. Diving Canada is responsible for funding the Coach Development Committee annually for the following meetings:
    • Face-to-face meets;
    • Conference calls.
  2. Diving Canada is responsible for funding the programs and services of the Coach Development Committee.

G. REMOVAL FROM THE COMMITTEE

  1. Members of the Coaches Development Committee can be removed from their position by one (1) of two (2) ways:
    • a. Committee representative elections;
    • b. Committee impeachment - A committee member would be impeachable through the actions of the Committee, via a vote of no confidence; at least two out of three representatives must support the motion.
