Flights should be booked to the Pierre Trudeau International Airport in Montreal. Transportation from the airport will be provided to the host hotel only if airline information is provided by March 12th, 2010 deadline. If you require assistance attaining visas to enter Canada, please contact Jeff Feeney at Diving Plongeon Canada as soon as possible. In order to avoid problems or delays, please contact your local Canadian Embassy or Consulate in due time before your planned departure to Canada.
Transportation will be provided from the host hotel to the pool. If numbers of attendees exceed room availability at the hotel, a second host hotel will be arranged and announced at a later date.
The above rates include hotel, all meals, and local transportation to and from the airport and pool. Any extra expenses will be the responsibility of the participants or the Federation they represent. Preliminary hotel requirements are due February 26th, and the final bookings by March 12th. We are unable to guarantee availability of rooms after March 12th. For Federations who chose not to stay at the host hotel a flat rate of $100 U.S. per person for the duration of the stay will be charged to help cover administrative costs. Food will not be provided to these delegates outside the pool. A downpayment of 50% of the full amount must be paid with the Final Entry (March 12th, 2010), and the remaining in cash or traveler’s cheques upon arrival in Montreal. The downpayment may be paid by cheque (U.S. dollars), bank transfer or by credit card. The flat rate of $100.00 per person (for those not staying at the host hotel) will be due upon arrival in Montreal. Judges are requested to bring appropriate attire for judging (white shorts/skirt/pants, white socks and white shoes). Diving Plongeon Canada will be providing judges shirts (black) for this competition. Federations taking part in a FINA Diving Grand Prix with a team of four (4) divers or more must bring a judge. The judge might also serve as a coach provided that does not concern the event where he/she is judging. All Federations are reminded to ensure they have medical insurance. The Organizing Committee will provide first aid if required. Individual federations are responsible for all other necessary medical expenses. Massage services will be provided on deck during competition. Doping tests will be conducted by the local IOC accredited laboratory and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, in accordance with FINA Doping Control Rules. |
