Training and certification process – all levels

Competition-Introduction

The table below applies to the Competition-Introduction level only. Information will be added at a later date on the other certification levels, once developed.

Diving Master Learning Facilitator (qualified to teach technical only, not theory)	Previously certified Level 2 or 3 technical course conductor or as approved by the Coaching Certification Committee	Complete learning facilitator and evaluator training Attend Multi-Sport A & B courses	Provincial sections to submit names to Manager Sport Programs. The Coaching Certification Committee will determine who from the applications may be eligible.
Diving Master Evaluator	Leader in the sport. Extensive coaching and club experience. Previously certified Level 2 or 3 technical course conductor or as approved by the Coaching Certification Committee	Complete learning facilitator and evaluator training Attend Multi-Sport A & B courses
Multi-Sport Master Learning Facilitator (qualified to teach theory and technical)	Previously certified Level 2 or 3 theory course counductor	If not a theory course conductor, may take training from the provincial multi-sport centre	To be selected by the Coaching Certification Committee and the Provincial Multi-Sport Centres.
Mentor	Minimum certification one level higher than level in which coach is being trained		Selected by the coach being trained

Instructor-Beginner

Training and certification process – all levels

Learning Facilitator and Evaluator clinics will be held over a three to four day period.
Cost for Learning Facilitator training is $150 for registration. Additional costs may include travel to/from training, accommodation and meals.
Cost for Evaluator training is $75 for registration. Additional costs may include travel to/from training, accommodation and meals.
Trained Learning Facilitators must hold their first clinic in conjunction with a certified Learning Facilitator or Master Learning Facilitator
Evaluations will be conducted at this clinic before certification can be granted.
To maintain certification, Learning Facilitators and Evaluators must participate in at least one professional development opportunity each year (e.g. level 4 course, course in other sports, attend Sport Leadership Conference, etc.)
Learning Facilitators and Evaluators must report annually to the National Office on their activities and their suggestions for improvements to the NCCP process.
