Entry forms and due dates
Flights should be booked to the Calgary International Airport in Calgary. Transportation from the airport will be provided to the host hotel only if airline information is provided to Diving Canada by the August 5th deadline. If you require assistance attaining visas to enter Canada, please contact Jeff Feeney at Diving Plongeon Canada as soon as possible. In order to avoid problems or delays, please contact your local Canadian Embassy or Consulate in due time before your planned departure to Canada.
Transportation will be provided from the host hotel to the pool. If numbers of attendees exceed room availability at the hotel, a second host hotel will be arranged and announced at a later date.
The above rates include local transportation, accomodations, meals, and access to the competition venue. Any extra expenses will be the responsibility of the participants or the Federation they represent. Preliminary hotel requirements are due July 17th, and the final bookings by August 5th. We are unable to guarantee availability of rooms after August 5th. For Federations who chose not to stay at the host hotel a flat rate of $100 CDN. per person for the duration of the stay will be charged to help cover administrative costs. Food will not be provided to these delegates outside the pool. A downpayment of 50% of the full amount must be paid with the Final Entry (August 5th, 2009), and the remaining in cash or traveler’s cheques upon arrival in Calgary. The downpayment may be paid by cheque (CDN), bank transfer or by credit card. The flat rate of $100.00 per person (for those not staying at the host hotel) will be due upon arrival in Calgary. Federations taking part in the 2009 Pan American Junior Championships may include in their delegation a maximum of two (2) Technical Officials (Judges). It is mandatory for all federations entering four (4) or more divers to bring at least one Technical Official (Judge). Judges are requested to bring appropriate attire for judging (white shorts/skirt/pants, white socks and white shoes). All Federations are reminded to ensure they have medical insurance. The Organizing Committee will provide first aid if required. Individual federations are responsible for all other necessary medical expenses. Doping tests will be conducted by the local IOC accredited laboratory and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, in accordance with FINA Doping Control Rules. |
