Myriam started diving at the age of ten and dreamed of competing at the Olympic Games. In 2004 her dream became a reality when she qualified for the Canadian Olympic team after three attempts. She also achieved her objective in Athens by making the finals and placing 7th on 10M.
In July 2005, Myriam did what few elite athletes only dream about; competing on the world stage in your hometown in front of your family and friends. Achieving these two milestones in her career does not make the 28 year old want to quit the sport just yet.
Myriam is also studying to become a social worker where, in addition to her training, she did a full time internship last year.
