Scott is a three-time Olympian and one of Canada’s most accomplished male divers. Scott represented Canada in the Munich, 1972 and Montreal, 1976 Olympic Games on both the 3m springboard and 10m platform. His third Olympic team for Moscow, 1980 was unfortunately boycotted by Canada. Scott placed eighth on both springboard and platform in the FINA World Championships in Belgrade, 1973 and eighth and ninth five years later in Berlin, 1978 and is a four-time Commonwealth Games medalist. A former family therapist and case manager in the field of psychiatry, Scott re-entered the diving world as a coach in 2001.

Scott has coached two-time world champion and Olympic medallist, Blythe Hartley and elite level divers such as Erik Petursson and Mandy Moran.
