Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kevin Geyson trains at the historic Pan Am Pool.

When he was a child, Kevin was registered in swimming lessons and through the encouragement of his coach, he signed up for diving lessons to improve his swimming skills. Kevin instantly enjoyed the sport and has never got off the diving boards.

In 2006, Kevin competed at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, where he placed 5th with Cam McLean on 3 m synchro, and 9th on both the tower and 3 m.

This 26-year old who studies athletic therapy at the University of Manitoba has also competed at the 2005, 2007, and 2009 FISU Games and also in Beijing at the 2008 FINA World Cup.

In 2010, Kevin competed at two events on the FINA Grand Prix Circuit (Canada and Spain). Domestically, Kevin was a fixture on the podium in the 10-meter tower event by winning bronze medals at both the Winter and Summer National Championships. Kevin turned in his best international performance to date at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India when he placed 4th on 10M and 3rd on 10M Synchro with his partner Eric Sehn.

2011 was a memorable year for Kevin Geyson. His renewed focus on training led him to capture his first ever senior national title, winning the 10 m event at the 2011 Winter Championships in London, ON. At the FINA World Aquatic Championships in Shaghai, Kevin paired with Eric Sehn to place 8 th on 10 m synchro. This result gained the pair an invitation to compete on the prestigious FINA World Series in 2012.

Shortly after the completion of his events in Shanghai, Kevin was involved in a car accident and sustained significant injuries to his leg.

Remarkably, due to his hardwork and dedication in rehabilitation, Kevin was deemed healthy enough to compete in a major international event just three months after his accident. He not only represented Canada at the Pan American Games, but also picked up a bronze medal on 10-metre synchro with Eric Sehn.

Kevin will now take some time off as he builds towards his goal of representing Canada for the first time at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
