A member of the CAMO club, François Imbeau-Dulac has been diving since the age of 9. This 18-year old athlete from Saint-Lazare has won a total of seven medals at various junior national diving championships during his career.

In 2008, François Imbeau-Dulac became the junior national champion on 3 m in Group A (16 to 18 years old). Also, he won his first senior Canadian title. It was in Regina at the Winter Senior National Championships where he placed first on 1 m.

This diver, who also excels in the classroom, competed at the 2007 Pan-American Junior Diving Championships in Puerto Rico where he placed 5th on both 1 m and 3 m.

In 2009, for the first time in his career he qualified beyond the preliminary rounds on the FINA Grand Prix circuit. Francois accomplished this feat at both the Canadian and Spanish Grand Prix events.

On the heels of an excellent 2009 season, François Imbeau-Dulac has secured a place on the Canadian Team to compete at the FISU Games in Belgrade, Serbia later this summer.

Francois’ 2010 season was punctuated by winning medals at both the Winter and Summer Nationals as he took home bronze on 3-metre in Etobicoke and silver on 1-metre in Saskatoon. He continued this pattern in 2011 as he took home a bronze medal on 1-metre in London at the Winter Nationals and won gold on 1-metre and silver on 3-metre in Edmonton at the Summer Nationals.

Francois competed for Canada at the FINA World Championships in China and placed fifth on platform in Mexico at the Pan American Games.
