After a strong finish to the 2009 season, Pamela Ware kept her momentum going in 2010 and proved to all observers that she is certainly a diver to keep their eyes on. Beginning her 2010 season by winning two synchro medals with sister Carol Ann at the CAMO Invitational, Pamela's strong form continued by competing well on the FINA Grand Prix circuit. She accumulated some invaluable experience on the FINA Grand Prix in Russia and the United States. At the Canada Cup, Pamela surprised everyone in the 3-meter event by registering the sixth best score of the preliminaries. This was impressive as the calibre of competition was one of the strongest of the year.
After earning her historic place as the first Canadian female diver to qualify for theYouth Olympics Games, Pamela went on to win three medals at the Summer Senior National Championship. Following up this performance, Pamela swept all events at the Speedo Junior Nationals Championships and secured her place for the 2010 FINA World Junior Championships in Arizona, where she captured a brinze medal on the 1-meter spring board.
To conclude the 2010 season, Pamela Ware competed in all 5 events at the Commonwealth Games. She was the only Canadian diver to do so.
2011 was an excellent season for Pam internationally. In pairing with her older sister, Carol Ann, the Wares won three international medals on the FINA Grand Prix, including an impressive gold at the USA Grand Prix.
In the junior ranks, Pam dominated at the Pan American Junior Championships where she won gold medals on 1-metre and 3-metre while placing sixth on 10-metre.
One of Canada’s brightest up-and-coming divers, Pamela will look to make her mark in the upcoming Olympic year.
