KUALA LUMPUR- Kelly MacDonald of Edmonton won the silver medal on Friday in the women’s three-metre springboard at the world junior diving championships. Jia Dongjin of China took the gold in the 16-18 age group earning 510.65 points followed by MacDonald at 463.25. Nora Subschinski of Germany was third at 455.30. MacDonald was 10th in the preliminaries saving her best for the final. ‘’Kelly was absolutely phenomenal tonight,’’ said Canadian coach Tommy McLeod of Victoria. ‘’She was aggressive in the final and drilled all her dives.
