  Golden performances for Miszkiel and Vallée at Dutch Open diving

AMSTERDAM - Shane Miszkiel of Victoria and Laurence Vallée of Longueuil, Que., won gold medals Sunday to cap a great showing by Canadian junior divers at the Dutch Open.

The 15-member Canadian squad ended the three-day age group competition with nine gold, six silver and eight bronze medals.

In Sunday‚s men‚s open platform, Miszkiel collected his second win this weekend while Matthew Fyfe of Montreal was third. On women's open platform, it was a second gold for Vallée while Carey Chen of Vancouver was fifth.

Canada collected two more medals on boys three-metre in the 14-15 age group with Vincent Riendeau of Pointe-Claire, Que., second and Sam Valentine of Regina third. Dylan Grisell of Toronto was sixth.

Finally in girls three metre 14-15 age group, Michelle Piper-Kulak of Edmonton took the silver and Courtney Hattie of Victoria was ninth.
