The Aquatic Federation of Canada is seeking applications for the respective positions of Chef de Mission and Assistant Chef de Mission for the World Aquatic Championships scheduled for July 16-31, 2011 in Shanghai, China.
 
Applications are invited from individuals associated with any of the 4 aquatic disciplines of Diving, Swimming, Synchronized Swimming, or Water Polo. This position is a volunteer position, and inquiries may be made to the CEO, COO, or Presidents of any of the 4 aquatic sports.   
 
The “Job Description” for the position of Chef de Mission can be obtained from the AFC President and chair of the Selection Committee, Bill Hogan, billhogan@nf.sympatico.ca or at any one of the websites listed below.
 
Procedure for Applying:
 

• Applications and a resumé outlining the candidate’s background and experience are to be forwarded to any one of the 4 aquatic sport leaders named below.  Applicants must then receive a “Letter of Endorsement” from that sport leader.  Please indicate which of the 2 positions (Chef or Assistant Chef, or both) that you are interested in applying for.

• Once the sport leader has endorsed your application, endorsed applications are to be forwarded to the AFC Selection Committee chair Bill Hogan.

• The deadline for “sport-endorsed” applications to be forwarded to the Selection Committee chair is March 1, 2010.  Successful candidates will be announced by April 1, 2010.
